Why not?!!!  It takes time, but is fun to do.  I know that from my other blog, the ones for my dogs.  I don't blog daily, but I get lots of good feedback from people who love the dogs and want to know about them.
Do you love your skin?  I love mine!  It keeps me IN and the world OUT!  It keeps bacteria and fungus and viruses out, it keeps chemicals out and it keeps all my fluids from dripping out all over the world.  That keeps me going.  If I dripped all the time I would die.  My blood proteins would drip out with all the water.  Gross, huh?!!!!
But, I digress before I even get started!!!
So, skin comes in layers and the layers come in layers.  Did you know that?
The top layer of the top layer is dead, but is a very good sealant that is THE BARRIER.  The cells of the top layer come from the one row at the bottom of that layer.  Those cells multiply and get pushed up to the top eventually.  At some point along the way, as they are maturing, they push out their contents to the outside of the cell and die.  The contents act as the glue that holds them on for a preprogrammed amount of time and then the cells fall off into the world as "dander."  Dead skin cells.
When a person has a rash, usually that dead layer of skin is corrupted and becomes ragged and leaky.  The skin then dries out.  When skin dries out it can get itchy and the rash gets worse.  Skin can dry out just from dry air stealing the moisture out of it too.  It can dry out because it gets solvents on it.  It can dry out from too much washing, not enough drying, getting older, not enough oils on the skin, wrong genes etc. etc. etc.
More about skin later.
